Fat Flight

I actually never thought about this until I booked my tickets to Melbourne yesterday and now I'm panicking that my fat ass is not going to fit in a seat.  Ive flown before, don't get me wrong and Ive been bigger than I am now and flown, so what is the reason?  Australia is the reason!! Its a very opinionated country when it comes to fat people and how fat people take up seats and really I don't feel like giving my 'x' amount of kilo's worth of opinion to someone who already has a fat stigma.  So the best I can do is make sure I am in a seat that I will be comfortable in, for all concerned (other passengers, flight attendants and the trolley up and down the aisle)  So in accordance to varying advisers in the know on 'fat flights', sitting at the rear of the plane is ideal.  Well I have considered this as it means that I am not in the way of passengers passing me often.  Then there's the crappy fact I'm right by the toilets.  Oh joy *not*, sooo I've got the tape measure out and Ive got the seat guru's expert knowledge on seating.  I have 17inches of seat to work with, so hilariously I'm getting darling to measure the width of my ass seated.  I wish I had a camera to take a photo of this but on the sad side, its not a pretty thing to think about.  BECAUSE the seat measurements from the site mean that I'm going to struggle.  Ive read the policies on the obese flighing and there is none as such.  According to the many amounts of fatist/fat ism posts on many message boards, (frequent flyer that is) its a problem for the economy class rats who have nothing better to do but complain.  While I would of course have issue if my seat was half taken by a big bottie and the flight crew did nothing to assist or offer a solution that overcame the inconvenience.  Yes I would take issue, but to be opinionated because you think your economy class ticket gives you the right to,will give you a verbal take down no holds barred.  You have been warned moan bag people. As the days are counting down, I'm hoping like heck that the flight isn't fully booked/full and that I will have the liberty of choosing an ideal seat which deflects any uncomfortable moments.  Its bad enough asking for a belt extender, but hey all I can do is be comfortable in knowing what I'm doing and how I execute every move when it comes to the flight there and back.  I'm aware that Flight Attendants are pretty evasive when it comes to a fat flight pax, but hey if we all work together, then it will be nothing short of enjoyable at least.  An update post to follow.
