- On waking up stay up (make meal replacement shake, shower, brush teeth and make bed)
Bed should be left for intimate moments and not be associated with sad moments. If your suffering depressive feelings then disassociate these with the bed, if like me depression is hand and hand with obesity then the bed is out of the question. Blog your feelings and refrain from dragging people into your mind set. Posting attention seeking status updates only makes for friend distancing. Instead, blog, blog, blog and allow your words to flow in that way. You can then look back and identify the triggers. So I'm not a psychologist so I shouldn't be giving that form of advice. Well guess what, where were these so called psychologists when I needed help. How many lifeline phone calls did I make only to never be answered, how desperate does a person have to be to get any kind of help here. A doctor can tell you you have to do this to get this and this, but does that alter the way your mind was before your appointment? No it certainly doesn't as your still the same person with the same problem as you went in with. Unacceptable in my opinion.
Dress in what ever you want for the day and then write your thoughts down in either a journal or a blog. I encourage blogging for the fact it keeps you present to the thoughts you have and while your writing to your blog, take the time to enjoy and savor your meal replacement shake (exactly what I'm doing now) I'm off to the supermarket soon and really I hate leaving the apartment but it has to be added to my things to change. Even if it's you walking to the mailbox, to the corner or getting at least 15 minutes of fresh air out on the balcony. Then do it do it do it!!
What about the house work?
I have kids!
My back hurts!
Excuses that the habitual fatty or in my case the qualified fatty have (after all I've perfected my ambition of being way too obese, so that quantifies me as being pretty educated on the subject) Weight loss books have too much words, when I want pictures, facts, figures, sizes, before and after shots to tickle the sensory zone of my inner fatty. The playboy of the fatty is what I'm after. I want to see real people who have achieved a weight loss goal without bariatric surgery and are maintaining that based on the change of mindset. Something in your current daily routine as a fatty needs to be swapped with a moving action, no matter what it is. Also by the time you finished your shake, it's time to get away from being in front of the computer/laptop/phone etc. You have a day to get on with so this does not include lulling in front of a screen. Facebook and any kind of social media will seriously wait and like an afternoon soap, will never change the script. If you need to research ideas on making a weight loss statement, then assign time and try your hardest never to over do it. Unproductive activity is habitual and easy to get back in to.
Tidy your house before you go to bed, so that the morning has a clean slate for you to begin with. Keep at least the kitchen, laundry, bathroom and bedroom clean in your house. Visually seeing these areas clean, motivates you mentally. These rooms are the most daunting and hated areas when filthy, unkempt and untidy. Swap computer time with organizing time to sort out these areas, it only take 15 minutes maximum to get these areas visually up to scratch. When you have the time, then give it more time to organize. When I see hair on bathroom tiles and the smell isn't as friendly when I walk into the bathroom, then I know I have one on one time. Which can be done before a shower.
